Description
Working closely with both the Development & Support Departments, you will take responsibility for writing and editing technical documentation for QLC products. As you Master the use of our software, you must individually develop & update online Help, Product Documentation that is well written, presented, and communicates efficiently to the end-user. When creating, updating and enhancing the documentation, the virtuoso technical writer will adhere to format, content and style guidelines, giving consideration to usability and ensuring accuracy, consistency and quality. *** Tasks & Responsibilities 1.Write design documents based on functional specifications from the product management team and technical guidance and prototype solutions from the development team. 2. Liaise with Quality Assurance personnel who are developing test cases for the new system functionality. 3. To write a variety of technical articles, reports/user guides, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. 4. To prepare operating and maintenance manuals, catalogs, parts lists, assembly instructions, sales promotion materials and project proposals.. 5. Researching and verifying information that is to be included in the manual, brochure, e-book or other written material. *** Skill Sets 1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office & HTML is a must. 2. Experience with Imaging Software for screen capturing is essential. 3. Awareness of latest trend and technologies in the industry, an added advantage. *** Personal Attributes 1. With excellent organization, communication and writing styles the ideal candidate should have an eye for detail. 2. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills 3. Should be able to handle a fairly hectic work pace 4. Flexible schedule to meet demands of an operational business 5.Should have Excellent writing skills, superior oral communication skills, persistent and methodical *** Qualifications 1. Candidate must be Graduate, preferable management candidates (BE/MCA/BSC-IT) 2. Candidates having a technical background (Graduate / Graduate Equivalent Diploma in software / hardware) will have added advantage. *** Experience 1. At least one year experience in a similar position. Freshers with aptitude can also apply. 2. Having worked for a IT product company would be an added advantage.
