Job Title: Offshore Technical Project Manager

Job Description:
· Detail-oriented/Hands on technical – cares to know the detail and uses that as a means of managing scope
· Has the seniority to deal with all level of users,
· Hands on enough to deal with the details, manage plans, understand the deliverables in detail to manage scope and to be able to prioritize tasks to keep to a timeline.
· Solution-Oriented/Results-Oriented
o Gets things done - Do whatever it takes.
o When working on a project, be date-oriented.
o Creative about coming up with a solution…consider options
o Decisive
o Customer-focused – understand customer. Ensure our activities and solutions align with and address customer objectives/situations/pain points/concerns
· No ego – about getting the work done
o Shares information with team/management and does not hesitate to ask for advice
o Doesn’t mind client’s involvement. Client gets involved in more detail then one would expect!
o Comfortable about not having a huge team
o Team-player – No Offshore/Onshore differentiation
· Multi-tasker and ability to deal with shifting priorities – CONSTANTLY!
· Strong organizational skills…makes lists – doesn’t forget things
· Honest, up-front and proactive with communication - without sugar-coating.

Skills
· Manages to a plan and date – must be good at scope management (this requires an understanding of the business and business priorities)
· Understands dependencies of tasks and can anticipate obstacles that will prevent each person/team from meeting their deadline
· Willing and capable of wearing different hats – PM/BA/QA/Training etc (nothing is beneath him/her)
· Can facilitate a meeting! Prepares an agenda, drives the meeting and action items. Then follows up/follows through.
· Produces quality deliverables – Word Documents, PowerPoints and materials presented to management and/or users; grammar and formatting is EQUALLY as important, as the content.
· Focuses on quality – UI/Performance/Functionality - all are important
· Has the ability to work with difficult personalities/ Politically savvy
· Can interact with a strong technical team

Experience
· At least 10years of work experience in .Net
· Managed at least 4 $100K+ projects (should have be involved from inception to transition!)
· Less focus on packaged solutions more on development/integration projects - in .Net (Microsoft projects)
· Experience “managing” - not (only) “developing” custom business applications
· Experience with methodology/process (uses process as a framework/tool, don’t need a CMM level 5 – just an efficient/effective process)
