Skills:
Windows server support and management duties will include a combination of systems administration, monitoring and management, process automation, training and mentoring of more junior staff, support of server remediation initiatives, support of backup &; Virtualization and troubleshooting/problem resolution.
Responsible to deployment team performing activities related to system implementation, upgrades, and installation of applications and Window update.
Work closely with Application Development for building smart monitoring rules&; respond to business requirements and to implement enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
System Engineers will work a normal workweek with rotational on-call Tier III support responsibilities.
In depth knowledge of all aspects of Windows 2000/2003/2008 for example, Operating System &; troubleshooting application after virtualization and Bare Metal Restore with good understanding on providing disaster recovery solutions.
Strong Messaging support and engineering skills on Microsoft Exchange 2000, 2003 &; 2007.Well versed in TCP/IP, DNS, NLB, DHCP, DFS, AD troubleshooting
Knowledge of VERITAS, VMware, Citrix, IIS, MS SQL.MCSE &; VMWARE ESX certification desired.
Five to seven years systems administration and engineering experience in a large enterprise environment.
A degree in computer science or a related field.Significant programming, scripting and automation skills will be added advantage.Programming language would include VB, Pearl, Python, PyMonkey and others.Knowledge on monitoring tool initiation (e.g. MOM, Insight Manager, etc) will be added advantage.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED - Blackberry
1. Minimum 4 years experience as a full-time Exchange administrator (Exchange 2000 or later) &; must have worked at least 2 years with Exchange 2000/2003 and Blackberry Server.
2. Hands on working experience with Windows 2003 / Active Directory
3. Good experience in managing &; troubleshooting Blackberry Enterprise Server
4. Document and migrate black berry Enterprise servers &; building smart rules for monitoring of black berry servers.
5. Capable of troubleshooting BES in case of disaster recovery situations.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
7. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to accurately follow documented procedures.
9. Aptitude to learn new technologies as they are incorporated into the system.
Certification on black berry &; knowledge on Exchange server 2007 would be added advantage.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED – Citrix
1. Minimum 4 years experience as a full-time Citirx administrator (Metaframe XP & Metaframe Presentation Server);
2. Hands on working experience with Windows 2003 / Active Directory
3. Good experience in managing & troubleshooting Citrix Server
4. Document and migrate Citrix servers & building smart rules for monitoring for Citrix servers & application.
5. Capable of troubleshooting Citrix in case of disaster recovery situations.
6. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
7. Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to accurately follow documented procedures.
9. Aptitude to learn new technologies as they are incorporated into the system.
Certification on Metaframe Presentation Server & knowledge on Virtualization technology would be added advantage.
